MLB ALL-STAR GAME MIAMI

FOX ENTERTAINMENT

The MLB All-Star Game in Miami, broadcast nationally on FOX Sports, was the 88th edition of the Midsummer Classic. Hosted by the Miami Marlins at Marlins Park. The game featured the top players from the American League and National League.

The high-profile event included unique coverage and historical significance:

  • The Broadcast: The FOX Sports television broadcast was called by Joe Buck and John Smoltz. For immersive audio, Fox placed 13 on-field microphones in and around the field to capture stadium sounds and player chatter.

  • The Game: The American League defeated the National League 2-1 in 10 innings, with Robinson Canó of the Seattle Mariners hitting the game-winning home run and being named the Ted Williams MVP.

  • Historic Milestone: This was the first All-Star Game since 2002 where the winning league did not determine home-field advantage for the World Series.

  • Home Run Derby: The preceding Home Run Derby was won by Yankees slugger Aaron Judge.
