As part of FOX Sports’ The World Becomes The FIFA World Cup integrated campaign, an interactive evite experience was created for high-level executives, talent, and special guests attending the FIFA Men’s World Cup in Russia.

The immersive digital experience combined custom illustrated FOX Sports Russian Matryoshka nesting soccer doll characters, cinematic animation, and promotional content from the broader campaign—building anticipation and excitement leading into the event.

INTERACTIVE EVITE EXPERIENCE

The interactive evite featured five immersive animated sections, guiding guests through a dynamic FIFA World Cup-themed digital experience while allowing users to RSVP throughout the journey.

Throughout the evite journey, guests were prompted to select “Will You Attend — Yes or No,” creating an engaging interactive RSVP experience seamlessly integrated into the campaign storytelling.

Users also had the ability to explore promotional content from the larger FOX Sports campaign directly within the evite experience, blending entertainment, branding, and event invitation into one immersive digital platform.

EVITE OPENING

The interactive evite featured five immersive animated sections, guiding guests through a dynamic FIFA World Cup-themed digital experience while allowing users to RSVP throughout the journey.

SECTION 1

WORLD CUP FINALS

Guests were introduced to cinematic promotional spots featuring three of football’s biggest global superstars: Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, and Lionel Messi.

These emotionally charged campaign spots were designed to immediately build anticipation and excitement for the FIFA World Cup Finals.

SECTION 2

ST. BASIL’S CATHEDRAL

An immersive section inspired by the iconic architecture and atmosphere of Russia, further expanding the visual storytelling experience.

SECTION 3

THE KREMLIN

Guests explored an interactive Kremlin-themed environment while continuing through the RSVP experience and accessing additional campaign content.

SECTION 4

PROMOTIONAL VIDEO SPOTS

The evite also featured integrated promotional videos from the larger FOX Sports campaign, including appearances by: Evander Holyfield, Deadpool & David Beckham, and Joel Embiid.

SECTION 5

FOX SPORTS WELCOMING EXPERIENCE

The experience concluded with a final animated FOX Sports message welcoming guests to the FIFA World Cup.

The evite experience also featured integrated promotional content from the broader FOX Sports FIFA World Cup campaign, blending sports, entertainment, and pop culture into one immersive digital platform.

These campaign integrations transformed the evite into a dynamic branded entertainment experience beyond a traditional event invitation.

To support the immersive experience, a custom visual system was created for the interactive evite, blending illustration, motion, and UX storytelling.

At the core of the system were custom illustrated FOX Sports Russian Matryoshka nesting doll characters, designed as playful, animated brand ambassadors for the World Cup experience.

The characters were brought to life through interactive un-nesting animations and integrated motion sequences, including playful interactions with a FOX Sports soccer ball throughout the experience.

Supporting assets extended across UI design, motion graphics, and promotional integrations to create a cohesive, layered digital environment.

AUTHENTIC RUSSIAN NESTING DOLLS

As part of the World Cup experience, custom Russian Matryoshka nesting dolls were physically produced in Russia for guests attending the tournament.

Based on the original FOX Sports character designs, each doll set translated the illustrated system into handcrafted physical objects, extending the evite experience into a tangible cultural artifact.

The collection reflected the same playful storytelling and layered character design seen throughout the interactive experience, bridging digital design with real-world craft and tradition.
